T'was a great event last week.

Good turnout (about 20) , good vibe and some fantastic laughs. Gathered hundreds of signatures for the local petition and no pups sold during the protest.

I'm closing the petitions tomorrow so please sign soon!

Some piccies of the event and the local press coverage.

Having a laugh

Shop staff watch despondently as passers-by stop to sign petition.

Looking militant.

Local paper (Surrey Comet) runs article.

Follow-up piece after event.

Please don't forget to sign the petition!

Found it in the local Guardian, too.

But still nothing on-line. Got sick of waiting so I wrote my own.

The petition sheets are all back and the final totals are:

On-line petition 843 signatures (including 1 vet, 1 colonel, three Kingston councillors and 1 councillor from Croydon)

Local paper petition 768 signatures (including 4 vets and one Kingston councillor)

Total signatures = 1,611

In one month.

Many thanks again to everyone who signed and especially to those who came to the event in Kingston - you are stars!

As a demonstration that progress is possible...

One closed (at least at the moment) petshop.

And, if they re-open, some tougher licence conditions...
