Water bottle insulator

Does anyone use an insulator on their water bottle on the rabbit hutch or similar?

I am having trouble with their water freezing at the moment and just wondered if anyone had tried one of these and if they work??

Any other useful tips gratefully received.

Thanks Ali xx

yes i use a scratch and newton water bottle cover. it works really well for my guinea pigs, it also stops the water getting too warm in the summer and helps reduce the vitamin c that i add to the water dissappearing due to the sun. its lasted really well too and ive had it for quite a few years. however as i bring the guinea pigs inside in the winter i have not tried it in freezing conditions but it does claim to stop the water freesing.

just an idea but you could try putting something in the water bottle. i dont know if it would work but we put an old plastic bottle in our water-but to stop that from freezing.

I started using them last year on my rabbits water bottle. Although the last couple of days the water has still frozen. Luckily I have spare bottles so I have been able to swap them over whilst the other bottle thaws out.
