Those who use a dog groomer?

How much would you expect to pay for your dog to be bathed and have their claws clipped?

Only asking, because ive never used one, always done it myself, but as Chance gets older id rather he was done by a groomer.

I used to pay £30 for both dogs - Honey bath and claws and Snoop to be bathed, clipped and claws... but then again, Honey was a quarter of the size she is now! You need to shop around and get some recommendations - the cheaper ones arent always the best! I also think prices depend on where you live...

I used to charge £15 for bath, ear clean, nail trim on a short coated breed. If it is a coated breed expect to pay more.

Hi

Depends on the breed of dog, but an average price for a small-medium sized dog would be between £10-£15 for a bath, nails trimmed and ears cleaned. Thats what price I charge anyway

I've always had this thing about groomers, not trusting whats going on when they are in there, some one once told me horror stories about them so I am not confident, what happens if the dogs don't stay still for a bath ect, what training do groomers do on dog handling ect ? sorry questions but I would like to be able to use one one day...just need a bit of moral support.

I tried not to have dogs waiting, i.e. they come in I do them they go home as soon as possible. I did go an a dog handling course and an animal first aid course as well.
You can always ask to watch them grooming (not your dog) and see what happens.
