Thanks Dyane. It really would be the best solution for these two I feel. They *may* have made great pets, but if the right working home is this one (and it sounds ideal) then that is really where I would like to place them. No offence to the lovely people who were interested, as they were all top notch active pet homes too.

Please keep everything crossed as there is a lovely farmer (a friend of a friend) from a farm in the Lake District who is coming to see them at the weekend with his daughter. Apparently his daughter is starting to show a keen interest in the farm and in training the dogs in particular, and so it is thought that the farmer may take one, and his daughter may be interested in the other.

I think it could be the perfect solution for these brothers - and we would get to keep in touch and find out how they are getting on.
Sounds like a brilliant home for them, best of luck with the visit, keep us updated with how it goes!

Just an update to say the farmer from Cumbria came today and decided to take Sweep

He sensibly decided just to take one, as he wanted to do a good job with his training rather than trying to train two at once. He also felt Glen probably wasn't forward going enough for him just at the moment ... his daughter did try to change his mind though lol.

So we are going to hang on to Glen until the perfect homes comes along for him ... which will probably be another working one if we are honest.

Thanks again to everyone who showed an interest and wished the boys good luck.
