Same reaction if a different breed ?

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liver...0252-23183142/

Now had this been a Stafford,Rottie,GSD, etc the dog would have been dead the same day, also with a nice picture of a snarling dog showing it's teeth etc...

And it just goes to show little dogs do attack but do NOT get the same media coverage as other breeds.

Thats highly frustrating that the dog didn't get put down.

Why is that just because when big dogs attack they get put down but little dogs don't. Grrrr, I hate the world sometimes

Another link shows the injuries,
http://uk.wrs.yahoo.com/_ylt=A1f4cfO...ost_her_sight/

He told the Globe: "I understand that the sentence would have been more severe if the dog was a Staffordshire bull terrier."
Now the above statement is so so true! It's downright disgusting!

Poor little girl, but I have to say that I burst out laughing at the picture of the mother. She looks like a clapped out old Barbie doll or a mannequin -- urgh!!

oh thank heaven someone else said that. She`s obviously prepared for hours for the photo.
Sad that the child was bitten - it certainly should never have happened. I assume the dog wasn`t used to children, and I also assume the child bent down to stroke it. A recipe for disaster, and further proof, if any is needed, that people don`t understand animal behaviour anymore.

i agree, disgusting double standards. No mention to the owner of the dog either, ususally the owners are torn to shreds by the media too.
