Itchy flaky patches on belly

My lab has had itchy flaky patches including hair loss on his belly and around hid doodah😲 for about 6 months constant licking causing mauve skin patches. At first vet said it may be central heating n gave us some antibiotics which didn't help much. After second visit he prescribed steroids and cream which has cleared it up nicely and max is much more comfy and not licking his bits. He also shaved the fur off so cream could be applied to areas easier. He wasn't sure what is was said he not seen anything quite like it before but treatment seems to have worked 😃
