Freya still gets up every night (morning) between 2-3am for her ablutions.. then they all get up between 5-6am for breakfast.. then they go back to sleep again

I find whenever the clocks go forward or back... for a day or so they keep to their original times then seem to fall into the new time, so it`s still 5am up for me for breakies

My older dogs love a lie in...but the pups at the moment love an early morning and have been getting us up at 5.30ish every morning for the toilet. Hoping that the clock change might make them go till 6.30...fingers crossed.
I am so looking forward to the lighter nights....late evening walks are great

Sorry dogs are diurnal and will follow the daylight not the clock.

Just look forward to it being daylight at 4 oc or there about and think what you can get done in all that extra time.

Not sure, may be not but it would be an interesting experiment, if expensive, think you would have to light in the evening and darken in the morning but, as I said, I am not too sure that it would override a strong inbuilt urge, that to cram in enough hunting time to feed, and regular feeding has never overcome the need for a dog to hunt and forage.

Mine wake up dependent on how light it is outside. I have only thin cotton curtains at the bedroom windows, so I pretty much know what time it is just by how light it is. Can't see the alarm clock without my glasses anyway, and never set it unless I absolutely have to.

My guess is the dogs will be waiting for me at 5am instead of 6am, or possibly even earlier......

Good job I'm a morning person, eh?
