I see Adams ideas and personal approach are proving as "popular " here as all other forums.

Yep ~ he's had the opportunity to have his views taken seriously, he's had his knowledge of learning theory totally annihilated, he's been personally criticised, he's had scientific papers, articles, statements from highly-respected animal organisations quoted to him, he's been criticised for his one-size (collar!)-fits-all approach & been hauled over the coals for his absence of knowledge in even the most basic of areas ~ and still he comes back for more

To his credit, despite the battering he's taken here, he has remained polite & not risen to the criticism.

I just assume he's getting huge commissions from the ecollar manufacturers!

!
He hasn`t been battered, he`s been answered. And to me, the detached tone (I wouldn`t say polite because he cherry-picks points to discuss and ignores those he finds uncomfortable) points more to someone who has no love of dogs.
For instance - find a post about his own pets. What are their names?

to be fair clair (hey that rhymes), you would have to be a complete paragon of politeness to judge politeness.

which kinda makes wilbar one of the better judges on that matter on dogsey

On that basis you can only judge rudeness if you yourself are rude.

Hmmm----that opens up so many possibilities!

LOL

I`m allowed an opinion. Even if you don`t like it. Or me.

i never said i dont like you.
if that were true i wuldnt have just said you wrote a fantastic post on another thread.

im being truly objective.
whichever way you look at it, Wilbar was right.
AP has received a figurative battering, often you have given him a battering.
you have done so as you passionately hate ecollars.

but a "battering" doesnt cease to become a battering if it is due to a topic you dont like.

that is only a fair and reasoned point, would you not agree?

ands Wilbar is therefore also right in saying he has not risen to a "battering" and remained courteous.

likewise, courteousness does not cease to become courteousness (and therefore all of a sudden detachment) if it is performed by someone whom you dont like or has opinion on a topic you dont like.

that is only a fair and reasoned point, would you not agree?

that is why Wilbar is such a good judge of these things

So what about the "battering" Adam has given us (and many other people on dog forums all across the net?). Doesn't his dogged insistence of how e-collars are wonderful constitute an onslaught of opinion in its own right? Who exactly is doing the most battering here?
