Thanks for all the guesses, and compliments! So interestingly enough Kayda is a Siberian Husky...her mom and dad are both full husky, but not papered. But her parents and brothers and sisters all have the standard husky coat, pretty symmetrical with no spots. She was the runt and we liked her spots so we picked her.

We recently ran into a man who works at a wolf rescue and he said that she looked like a NAID (Native American Indian Dog). After doing some research, we found that there are some breeders who cross NAID with Siberian Husky to produce a Siberian Indian Dog! (and they look like Kayda! http://www.ckindiandogs.com/siberian-indian-dogs.html ) We also learned that these peculiar spots are a very recessive trait, so although her parents were both Siberian, maybe way up the line there was some NAID in there.

I've never even heard of a Canaan dog, but those spots are so similar! And a lot of the Canaan dogs on google images totally have that kind of wolfish/husky stature. Cool!

I feel I have done Kayda a disservice by assuming she was a crossbreed. Though I did say she's gorgeous.
No offence intended.
