Unfortunately she can't stay with me, she is not exactly an easy dog, underneath that 'woe is me' exterior lies a wolf, could be that I'm not a spaniel person (nor am I a bitch person) so can't cope with her 'spaniel' ways and besides which, my boys aren't enthralled by her and as they say two's company, 3's a crowd, I was hoping she would be gone by today but she's still here and I'm pulling my hair out trying to get rid of her, I'm getting so stressed with it all, I definately couldn't be a longterm fosterer or work in a rescue kennels, so I take my hat off to all of those that do it, she's making me very poorly with the stress of having her around

Thanks Nippy, I just wish I could get her a nice home, she has had a rubbish start to life, first 12mths we think she was abused in some way but the current owner has had her from 12mths onwards and hasn't really helped the dogs case by keeping her 'isolated' from the world as it was, not the owners fault as such as she didn't want the dog (she elderly and knows her limitations) it was her hubby who has since passed away and so a dog walker was employed and she has kept the dog away from other dogs etc and added to the issues, I have to admit since being with me, she's come on leaps and bounds, is going to training classes and is eager to learn so its hopeful in the right home with constant socialisation she will make a lovely pet for someone ... just a bit stressful for me as my dogs are getting neglected in a way (well thats how I'm feeling right now) and I am getting attached to her but I know in my heart of hearts she can't stay with me which is making things much much harder and the fact that I've promised her owner that I wont put her into rescue kennels so feel obliged to keep her until a home is found ~ its so hard to disconnect and not be emotionally involved
