Screaming for joy!

My OH has got a job! It's been a long eighteen months, and he has been so depressed at being knocked back at every single turn (even when he applied for a job cleaning pubs!), but finally he has one He'll be joining a small team of IT engineers and will be out and about doing home repairs as well as some work in the office. It sounds like exactly what he wanted.

And the best part? It's going to be dog friendly hours! Because the company have cottoned on to the fact that most customers work 9 - 5, my OH will be doing afternoons and evenings, so it means that I can be home for an hour at lunch time just after my OH leaves, and take the dog out for a walk with my new mobility scooter and then I'll be back at 4:30pm, meaning that they'll only be left for about 3 hours, rather than a full working day. Had it been the latter, we would have had to pull out of our application to the rescue, although it does now mean that I am going to be putting in a week's holiday should we get the okay, to help the new dog settle in, since my OH can't take any leave so soon after starting.

I'm so desperately excited and I have spent the morning calling every friend and relative I could think of to tell them the news!

It's Home Fix Computers in Stokesley

I've been having a look at the Canine Creche and their facilities look excellent, so we might have the woofer in there a few times a week as well

No, nothing yet. The report has to go from the home checker to the home visit co-ordinator and then back to the rescue, so it could be a little while yet. I've been in touch with his foster-mum though, and she's been giving me little updates in the hope that we're successful
