JJ & Jaffa (blue and gold macaws)

I own quite a few parrots and breed from some of them

but two of my blue and golds are very special to me

Jaffa is 13 years old and we have had her since she was 4 months old and she was our first ever macaw

JJ is 5 years old and our first ever baby that i handreared here in Wales

Jaffa and JJ now live together in an avairy and they love each other very very much

well the last 12 months they have become even closer so this year hubby said he would put a nesting box in the avairy just to see what they did

well yesterday he went in to see them and to our total shock Jaffa had laid an egg, but sadly it had been smashed

but i am so so excited that there may be babies from these very special macaws of mine

so watch this space

Funnily enough I was only thinking about your birdie babies this morning, and wondering how soon it would be before we would see some gorgeous pics , but it looks as if we may have 2 lots this year, how exiting now all you have to do is persuade the Eclectus to hatch some out, and you'll be well away
