Morning all. Hope you had a good evening yesterday. It is windy and sort of sunny inbetween the clouds coming over. Nothing planned today so back to the usual of wandering and reading. I will probably keep popping in to see how England are doing but I am not a footie fan or tennis fan. Actually not many sports but I do like anything to do with horses although not racing. I do like fencing so hoping the olympics will show some on my silly tele. I don't have an all dancing one. Anyway have a good day today doing whatever floats your boat as they say. Who are they?? And do you go out in boats?

The weather here is unpredictable. I am not sure whether washing is going on the line in a bit as it looks to be clearing up or on the airer.
We are doing some housework to keep it tidy till Monday When work starts again.
Some point next week the back wall and patio doors will be coming down and a new floor laid in the new bit to come level with the corridor bit we are extending.
Freya tomorrow then we don't have her again till the 20th.

I was woken in the night with a thunderstorm, dogs weren't fussed at all lol.
Brenda, I am not into tennis either, Steve watches it but then he watches anything! I will have a wee nosy at the footie game but tbh, they were very very lucky to go through.
Lynn, sounds like things are progressing well, excellent
I have finished the weeding, 2 large bits and a narrower piece all done. I have had a couple of really nice comments about my house and fence over the past 2 days, one lady who I thought wouldn't like my house said she loves the colour and the other houses should do the same so it looks like a seaside row of houses and she also commented how nice.my fence was. Another lady has like myself caused ructions, she painted her house from brick and she was laughing and saying it's controversial like my fence, I just laughed my head off and said "it's good to be different!" She also said my fence was a lovely colour and she loved the fuscias against it....that made me happy as my nan got me them about 38years ago
I might have a look around town later, but it depends if I can find my motivation lol

Afternoon all

Been pottering this morning, just off to meet Rose and a catch up then back for the footie I am not a football fan persa however for some reason England in a Euro or World Cup captures my interest.

Well I got some motivation and have been out again for a blowy wander. I know I said I don't do horse racing but there is a film on later caled Dream Horse so I will watch that as nothing else is on that I fancy and most are repeats anyway. My book at the moment is a novel of three in one big book. A Rebecca Shaw Turnham Malpas series. Quite good as it has everything in it. Murder, kidnap etc.and funny at times. I with you Kazz don't look at football but can't help but keep having apes at the score when England is playing.

Sunny with a few scattered showers here. Spent most of the day in the garden. Trimmed back both bushes in the front garden and then mowed the lawns. Barry then decided he needed to cut back some branches of a tree overhanging from next door. Asked them if they minded first. So spent the rest of the time cutting up the branches and clearing them away. Nothing doing now for the rest of the day.

Washing ended up on the airer and bedding on the tumble dryer.
Now have the football on, neither of us football fans but we do like to watch and support England when playing.

griff its nice when a neighbour admires our garden and house.

Gave up with film watching Brokenwood instead and had a chuckle as the detective fell through a hole and landed on a skeleton. This detective always speaks to his deceased and asked what you doing down here? Anyway my answer was I'm just being bone idle. Sorry must be the wine. lol!!
