Wireless Router Speeds

What is the difference between a router with a 11mbps speed (which is what I have) and the newer ones that have a speed of 108mbps?

just as you said it is the transfer speed donīt think they make them with 11 mbps any more

Thanks Fred that shows how old mine is. Time for a new one I think.

So will broadband seem faster on one of the new routers?

Great NTL are upgrading the 2mb BB to 4mb next month so might just have to get a new router to see the benefit of it. The one I have now keeps cutting out if 2 pcs are on and something is being downloaded

Does that work with cable broadband? Mine is not plugged into my phone line.
