Yet another near miss!

Deise Championship show today, Waterford. Nearly killed me getting up at 4am to drive there, especially as there is nowhere to stop for a toilet on the way but a layby (for me) and a hedge (for Deccy) sufficed.
Deccy broke his leather slip collar (rolled leather, will have to save up for a new one) last weekend so I showed him in his "bling" gold choke chain. I haven't got the hang of it yet and I caught his ear so he went round the ring screeching and not running as well as normal, then complained to the judge and refused to be gone over properly! I changed him into a half slip, too big for him but easier on his poor neck and ears. He ran up and down well on that.
Despite this setback, he won Open dog, got another "excellent" rating then the Reserve Green Star. I wish I had got it right with the collar, who knows if it would have made a difference.....
PS Also sorted out another stewarding appointment for September and Deccy may be used at stud ...... we'll see......

Well if you open both passenger and rear nearside doors and squat between them, it's unlikely any passing traffic will see you. I found a bit of a pull-in in front of a field gate surrounded by bushes so it was pretty secure. I always remember where these good places are.. maybe my next book should "bogs of Ireland - the best, private places in an emergency!" (I refer to bog in the literal sense, most of central Ireland is bogland)

Well done again, never mind about the collar I am sure it won't happen again, we all learn by our mistakes huh?

Good luck for the next shows
