WE still get Green stars but it is alot different now as before it used to be 3 majors which was Best of Breed with enough entries to make a dog up but with breeds with small numbers entered that could take years so now it is 7 green stars under different judges to make a dog up, it is international but just a bit different

Under FCI, each Country has to maintain its own National system, as not all Champ shows are International - we have 8 this year, and around 20 general "National" shows. To become an International champion your dog not only has to win the necessary CACIBs but must be a champion under the National Rules already. In other words, Deccy would have to be an Irish Champion - based on Green Stars - before he could become an International Champion even if he had loads of CACIBs!
For the International shows, both CACIBs and Green stars are on offer but just Green Stars at the "normal" champ shows.
Ireland is the only Country where you can use all 4 CACIBs to count, everywhere else you have to get at least one in another Country. However, you have to be resident in Ireland so UK residents can only count 3 by coming over here and need to go to Sweden or France or wherever to get the final one.
Hope this is clear
