Bathed the dog!!!!

Today has been glorious, the sun beating down on us and not a sign of rain or wind. So how shall we fill part of the day, I know, thinks I, lets bath the stinking Dobe.

Out come the buckets, out come the dog towels, off goes Cody!!!

Buckets were filled, shampoo sorted, where is the bold lad - hiding in the living room, behind the sofa.

Under protest he has been well bathed as we are fundraising on Saturday and I want him to be sparkly clean, which he is right now but who knows what state he will be in by Saturday.......the others have heaved a sigh of relief as I can't manage to do more than one at a time because of my bad back but as soon as we get another decent day the others will be for the bath too.

Thanks for that link, Griff, I've bookmarked it!

Dog bathing has been making me think recently, because I realize that I'm just not able to carry a wet, struggling BC out to the garden any more, nor to be dragged along on a "shakewalk" in the lane.

What we do, usually, is dump the captured dog in the bath and turn the shower on him. When he's done, he gets wrapped in a towel and carried outside, but that's a no-no for me now

I think I will try that stuff, although I can foresee black-and-white bums retreating down the road at a high rate of knots! If my Boys don't understand something, they bring the family motto into play - "Fugite!" ("Run Away!")
