Yippee, she can play

After several months of trying to teach Tam to play we have success. Today she played tug with me, until Jas took over.

Great news Staffy! I had a golden retriever once that wouldn't play anything. Never got her to either. How did you get yours to finally play?

I played tug with the kids on the floor for a few hours a day when they got home from school. She started taking an interest when I let go of the rope and the kids would fall over backwards laughing. Jasper then would join in and I think it eventually clicked with her that it was a fun game and joined in. However, I am not going to buy a toy with a tennis ball attached as she chewed the tennis balls off and I am finding bits of tennis ball everywhere.

I hope that she will be able to play tug with Jas soon because it would be really funny to watch and I bet he'll lose that game aswell

We have a ball on a rope for Star it is hard rubber with a bell in it. We picked it up at a supermarket for a couple of pounds and it has lasted over a year. We have the same problem with tennis balls

We have a great improvement!! Tam played tug with Jas, well sort of. She stood still while Jas pulled and guess what???? JAS LOST AGAIN!

Jas was tugging away, she showed her teeth and he ran for cover. He's such a sissy
