I wish we could get the laws changed to make it illegal to sell live animals in a store. The sad thing is that so many people do not yet realize that these scum buy animals from puppy and kitty mills.

I think they know Bon, they don't care!! It's all about the almighty dollar and that's the bottom line for these scumbags! It will never change as long as people keep buying!

As I said before in Denmark it IS illegal to sell pets from the shops.

I know they also have pets in stores in France, ass my mum was on vacation there last year!

My heart would break if I ever saw that!

i was in france in the hypermarket, i walked past a pet store, the window was full of pups, from toy breeds to danes!

I stood there in tears, then went storming in and demanded to know what the hell they were doing selling pups here, he replied it makes me money, its a good living!
so i replied, "so you dont care one bit about where the pups go, you dont care that they are ill and probably will die within a week of purchase, He replied " oh we have that happening all the time, but people come back for another, and i give them a discount, if the first dies.

My god i nearly swung for him, luckily my teacher saw me and grabbed me just in time, my god i was fuming!

OMG Gem

I wish you had. I can't understand that kind of people. I think I read about a woman on another board whoo had bought a puppy in aa shop, and it was very very sick. I can't remember the details exactly but as you wrote earlier: the only way to stop these pet shops is to stop buying the pets, and unfortunately I think the only solution is to ban the sale of live pets from shops!
