Rescues in or fairly near to Swindon, Wilts?

Given that I don't have my dogs, I would love to still be doing something doggy, so would like to volunteer as a dog walker or something, but I don't know where to start looking for a rescue etc near to my Mums! I am fairly limited as to where I can get to until I learn the bus routes again!

I will ask my mum where she got her rescue from, she lives near Highworth. I know there is one in Burford but that's too far for you to get to. Whereabouts in Swindon are you?

The only one I could find that you might be able to get to is the Swindon and District Animal Haven....
