Council and Glass on Footpath

I rang them last week. There is glass on the public footpath where I walk the fur kids. Lots and lots of glass or I would've cleared it myself. It is amongst the grass. Did they remove it? No! It had been a week monday so I rang back yesterday and they logged it AGAIN. No such thing as good service. What if someone or their dog gets hurt? They don't seem bothered.

I guess it's way down their list of priorities...maybe it'd have been higher if a child had got cut or something.

Thing is, I pay council tax, I expect a good service. I know it sounds simplistic but that is how I see it.

Have to admit, our council isn't too bad like that. We have guys out pretty much every day to clear rubbish, including glass.

Have you ever tried this site? When ever I have used it to report a problem it has been dealt with very quickly.

Good luck.

Same around me, although I think there has been a slight improvement in some areas.

Your rant should be aimed at the dweebs who dropped the litter etc.
Wake up.
Homes for the elderly closing.People losing jobs.
We have people in our village who voluntarily go round tidying up, and cubs etc have occasional tidy up days. But even for these its getting harder to get a free skip donated

On our council website the MPs email address are listed so last year when the new lights that had been installed on our fields weren't working, after logging a request on the website that the lights be checked and nothing happening, I emailed our MP and low and behold within two days it had been sorted.
