Well I can say, i didn't know about puppy mills before I saw a program on Animal Planet about it.

We don't have puppy mills in Denmark, or at least not that I'm aware of.

Its sooo sad..... :( :(

Puppy dealers are getting clever as there is one in **** who has 100 puppies delievered a week from ireland and wales!
They claim to be breeders of Labradors and have been for 35 yrs, but only have one supposedly mother, father and grandmother! yet these 3 manage to have a litter a week??
They also have springers, cockers, and ckcs....
They also have 3 of each of these with the same story!
The people go by false names, and claim theire labs are hip scored, but there are reports of puppies having hip dysplasia at just 4 months!
They also say theire ckcs are heart clear, and i must say theire adverts are very misleading.
Theire pedigrees are false and so are the vaccination cards as pups have been sold full of worms.
They are not KC registered but theire story is they love theire pets and dont want them to be bred from, MORE LIES!
Its sad because the puppy dealers tell so many lies and lie about theire puppies coming from puppy mills and claim to breed them themselves they advertise every week in the adtrader and they cant be stopped from advertising because these places are being liscenced by the council
So unless the dealers are stopped theire will always be a demand for mass produced puppies

Here are 2 adverts!

FOR SALE LABRADOR PUPPIES (black/yellow/chocolate). Bred from our own old fashioned heavy traditional lines, lavishly reared on our licensed premises. Both parents and kin can always be seen. Puppies fully vet checked, innoculated and wormed (with certificates). Excellent socialised temperaments with superb pedigrees, suit work or pet, 35 years experience of producing top grade Labradors at realistic prices. Countless references: recommended by numerous area vets. Registered single breed kennel. TOTAL QUALITY GUARANTEED.

FOR SALE CAVALIER KING CHARLES PUPPIES Tri and Blenheim, home bred, lavishly reared puppies, excellent pedigrees and temperaments, wonderful with children, Mother and Father can be seen, vet checked and inoculated, (Heart Clear), wormed to date, ready now. for details.

As you can see they have done theire homework, and sound very convincing

IT ALSO SAYS A REGISTERED SINGLE BREED KENNEL BUT YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE THE PHONE NUMBERS ARE THE SAME ON BOTHS ADS, AND YES 2 BREEDS! NOT 1.

Its easy to say dont buy from puppy farms but i think half the breeders in the adtrader.must be puppy farms cos there are a lot of them with about six or more different breeds. And the one sophie was talking about i nearly got a puppy from him he seems really nice he takes you in his house and you do really think you are getting a good dog.but as they are not k.c.r that tells you something as well.

Jenny that's such a sad story :smt010 It made me cry!
