Kyiro's Broken

He is a limpy dog . He has been like it on and off since his mad charge round and round the field earlier in the week.
I havn't been completely sure he was limping as its intermittent and on his offside hind leg and as he walks on my right handside its been hard to detect. But today I have managed to catch him limping a few times or looking a bit stiff on it other times.
Its come on quickly so I should imagine he has pulled something,
So no meeting with the other greyhounds for the walk Sunday as I will rest him and if he is no better on Monday take him along to see my vet.
Now my vet normally prescribes Previcox or Rimadyl as an anti inflamatry pain killer. Are greyhounds ok with these does anyone know? As i know there are certain drugs they can't tolerate.

im sure its just a strain hun...and yes nsaid's are fine for greys.

Thankyou. Hopefully after a couple of days of doing what he does best (lazing around) he will be fine again and won't need to see the vet.

Sounds like he has strained something doesn't it ? He isn't used to all that galloping around.

I can see him enjoying all this being allowed to just lay about doing nothing and getting lots of cuddles for doing nothing.
I still find it very odd having a dog that actually enjoys being on rest
