Im really nervous!!!

Hi all

Sounds stupid, i know

But i am really nervous, Chance is going to the vets at 5 o`clock to be microchipped and my mum keeps telling me not to have it done because she had her dogs chipped and she reckons they were in agony and the needle is huge

Please tell me this isnt the case

The microchip is honestly painless.

My girls were microchip and were fine.

My two Dobies didn't bat an eye, but Frankie was chipped last week and he sounded as if they castrated him without anaestetic It is quite a big needle but don't worry, he never gave it a second thought it lasted a couple of seconds and still licked the vet after.

I feel really bad because he is tiny but the vet said its best to have them done at this age

My Vet warned me that Oz would probably yelp as the needle is quite big, I was dreading it like you, but he didn't make a sound. At the end of the day a little discomfort is worth it for peace of mind. Dont worry.

as the others have said,the vet will warn you they may yelp but neither of mine did and laney didn't even bleed

It can do a bit, but for all Frankie's fuss his didn't bleed at all. I just think he was taken by surprise.
