I actually knew someone years ago that called her son Gooey. She said she had got the name from a Barbara Cartland book. Turned out it was spelt Guy and she was pronouncing it wrong for 2 years.

When I was a child I said when I have a little girl she will be called ....... be prepared for this.......Jolene a Bella Rosa Lee....... please bear in mind I was 8.

If I had ever had a girl I would have called her Scarlet Roxanne.

I know of a few daft names I always feel sorry for the kids though having to live with it especially the stars calling their kids names like:

Apple (Chris Martin)

Clementine (Claudia Schiffer)

Moon Unit (Frank Zappa - I think)

Zowie Bowie (David Bowie)

All of Paula Yates & Bob Geldof Kids.

When my sister was pregnant she wanted to call her daughter Montana which I thought was terrible but where she is in Australia they have more different names. She settled for Laura after me in the end (not that thats any better lol). My nephew is called Brody which isnt very common but not unusual, her 3rd child is called Ronan which I think is terrible.

Personally I do know a little boy called leif maximillian (pronounced Leaf) and a little girl called Star, there was a boy at my school whose parents were hippies (the proper type who wore no shoes long hair & flower power van) his name was rain but I quite liked that I think some names can be quirky and sound okay and get away with it but sorry to offend I think names like Gooey are a shame for the kids.

I actually really like that name Inca there is something very light and well just nice about it if you know what I mean. Imo that is what I mean about certain "different" names that you can get away with and certain ones you cant.
