I LOVE Maremmas - gorgeous dogs. We had one who lived in our local town, and he was a huge character although a hell of a handful. His owner was knee high to a grasshopper and I don't think she had a lot of control over him, but he was a smashing dog.

My mostly white dog is Teflon coated I think. Shows up well in the dark too. Not so much in the snow though.

Why don't you think you can own so many? They are all quite different breeds too.

GSD's are my favourite breed but while I live with my parents they would not let me get one of the guarding types and certainly not let me have a staffie

Mums frightened of some nutter with a staffie wanting to pick a fight with ours if we had one, unfortunately were I live the only reason why most people who own a staff is to make them look hard same goes for other status type breeds which are really popular.

I would say the Dogue de Bordeaux.

For some reason they interest me, and there is a certain one on here I have taken a shine to

But I don't think I would ever own one.

Go on, you know you want a naughty little MinPin in your life..

My 'love but can't own' list basically consists of all the giant breeds. I've loved St Bernards since I was a kid (Anyone remember Beethoven?!) and I really love Newfies, Leons and a load of other 'giant' breeds but the short life span just isn't for me. I know our dogs can go at any time and nothing is for certain but I couldn't buy a dog knowing I wouldn't have them for long.

Cavalier King Charles but with the health problems in the breed, I'll never own one
