Recall training - Next step.

At 5 1/2 months Tillys recall is excellent. She will come back everytime (with one recent exeption) sit at my feet and wait for her treat.

However, once she has had her treat she is off again. I have time to attach her lead if I want to, but other than that she goes off as soon as shes had her treat.

I want her to wait until I release her before she runs off again to play, but how do I do that?

Does she know Wait or Stay in which case once she is back get her to wait and gradually increase the amount of time before you treat, rather than treating just because she came back. Then as soon as you treat say OK or whatever your chosen release word is. Then keep practising.
