I'm falling apart!

I went to see the specialist this morning about my knee and I have to have a replacement at the end of May

I then had to have the pre-op assessment.
My B/P was so high that they then did an ECG Luckily it was ok.
Then I pee'd in a pot and it indicated that I have a wee infection

So I went in with a sore knee and came out with two other things.
Lets hope the op is worth it

oh Nippy what a day!

I'm going to start calling you the bionic woman

Seriously, I hope all goes well and that you'll be able to move like a bionic woman after this op.

Jenny I know how you feel Getting old is a nightmare, I never expected it to be like this. I seem to have so many problems at the moment I have to pinch myself to make sure I am still alive every morning

Good luck with the replacement, I am sure you will emerge a new woman

Lol if only. The consultant has told me I will be able to walk Pepsi and garden again after, those were my two main priorities

I feel the same as Mini, Jenny - every day there's pain somewhere and sometimes in several places at once.

Trouble is, I don't think any of us are that old.....

Don't ever forget, despite all any proposed tests or whatever, always question why they are being done and why, it is your health n well being that matters not some targets of figures by a local PCT. Hope you feel better soon x

I didn't need to question it, I had enough pain to know why it was being done.
I have seen the pictures from my Arthroscopy, not a shred of cartiledge left behind my patella.
Everything has been fully explained.

Vicki, I agree but all the pains are better then the alternative If I can feel the pain then I am still here

That cheered me up Jenny I keep thinking what else can go wrong with my body...so nice to hear I'm not the only one

I need both knees replacing but am putting it off...I'll be watching your progress with interest.

Hope everything sorts itself out and the op goes smoothly xxx

Thats the only thing wrong with knees, they tend to wear out before we do.
I loved the way my consultant explained how bad my knee was. He just said its bug.ered.
plain and simple.
A knee replacement is the next step for me too.
