I too find this imported American Prom stuff quite ridiculous especially as it now is being done in infant and junior schools and not just when they reach 18 and finish College or 6th form.

By the time my daughter left for Uni it wasn't just who had the most snazzy outfit it was also about WHAT CAR they were turning up in! Giving out IMHO all the wrong stuff to young people about 'what's important'.

No word today though, maybe on a diet!!
