He's really not himself! He's now spent nearly 4 full days just sleeping and looking quite unhappy.

He's eaten his meals today quite well though and is drinking plenty.

No poos yet so will see how he is on his evening walk and then maybe pop him back tomorrow.

How long should it be taking him to get rid of the bug and how much exercise should we be giving him?

Oh bless him.
It depends on loads of things, how long it takes to get rid of a bug.
Have to admit when my dogs have a tummy bug I keep them in, partly to conserve energy but also because I don't want to be responsible for someone else's dogs picking it up especially an old one or a young pup.

I don't want to speak too soon but I think our chap is back to normal.

After a whole day sleeping he was an absolute horror last night and has been hyper this morning, not listening to anything and crap recall (he's always bad after a stint of the poorlies).

So pleased, sort of ;o)

Well that sounds like he's through it (Whatever it was) just check out the poohs and the wees and if all normal and he's eating OK then you can relax
