Bah. Amatureish. Obviously a beginner.

Well done Spencer. Leave is still something I've still not got properly to generalise. Mental block or summit.

Not really an achievement as I haven't worked on it.

Tuesdays are awkward days, I'm at work 11-3 (plus an hour to get there and hour back with the public transport) and my little sister is at college from 12-5. And I didn't think this would be a permanent shift. But it seems it is. I've asked to have it changed/make it earlier so I can go earlier but I can't, so today Pennie was left a total of 3 hours, on her own but not really - the older two were the other side of the babygate (they'd have only jumped over if I'd left them in the same room) anyway, Since I have never really gotten crate training. She had the crate up (feeding her 4 times a day with Louie around can be a bit of "survival of the fittest") so she eats in there, she has a bed and toys in there but I left the crate open. Put paper down by the door - just in case.

Came home early - fully expecting a couple of wees and a poo. Nope - nothing, nada. Absolutely clean. Let her out - didn't seem overly desperate for it.

Yay Pennie!

Haven't put Roush on any mocks in a while but was able to get him out there yesterday evening. He scored a 3 out of 3 on the tracks we laid.

Tracked the first one off lead. 300+ yards and 25 hours aged. Used deer blood. Unhooked him off the ranger and he hit the spot where the trail started and then took off with me running full sprint behind him. Took him around 30 seconds to find the deer hide at the end of the mock trail. He is turning out to be a pretty good dog and the puppy stage isn't even over yet.

The other two were set up for a fresher dog but Roush hit those tracks as well and did perfect.

Well done all.

Nothing to brag about specifically but just to say how pleased I have been with Polo's behaviour recently. He has behaved very well and been so relaxed.

I video'd his last group walk and am amazed at the difference in him:

Parker ignored a male terrier cross humping him today The owner kept calling him and he was completely oblivious and ignored her and decided he was going to hump poor Parker (funnily enough dogs never try to hump Izzy-very wise ). I called Parker and Izzy and they sat each side of me and I grabbed the nuisance dog's harness and handed him back to the owner.

She did comment to her 2 children that my 2 were very well-behaved dogs! I replied that Parker was a rescue and used to be naughty but now had obedience awards. Hopefully she will take the hint.

I had a border terrier that wouldn't leave me and mine alone yesterday.
It wasn't nasty just wouldn't go away, it's owner was the other side of the field going in the opposite direction calling him but certainly didn't rush over to fetch him.
Teg didn't try and launch himself at it and Hocus kept coming away when I called him.
In the end I put both mine in a sit wait and blocked the terrier from getting to them so it got bored and went away.
Pleased with them for waiting while I dealt with it

Well done everyone!

I've been really pleased with how calm and relaxed Ted has been around other dogs the last few weeks We went to see the trainer again last week for some socialising with other dogs and it went really well even he noted how relaxed Ted seemed particularly with a lurcher we walked with, Ted plodded along happily wagging his tail he even asked if we walked with a similar dog as Ted seemed so comfortable straight away.

His watch me around other dogs is also going really well even when a black lab came over to him while he was doing it on this morning's walk he had a quick nose to nose sniff before focusing back on me. It's been quite quiet round here for dogs lately but the few that we have met he has greeted nicely and passed most others without a problem

I was particularly pleased with him on yesterdays morning walk when we ended up in a bit of an awkward position. We where walking along the road and just about to turn into a field when Ted spotted an Irish setter on the other side of the fence that also spotted him and was straining at the lead to come over. I decided to walk on past the gate and let the man and dog come out as i thought they where likely going the way we had come from. As we passed the gate with the setter pulling towards it Ted decided to plonk himself down and refuse to move i told the chap he could be funny with other dogs but he was insistent they would be fine and continued to allow his dog to pull him over. As the lead was attached to Ted's harness i took hold of his collar as we where right next to the road and i like to have hold of the sharp end should he lunge at the other dog not the best thing to do i know. Anyway they had a sniff nose to nose and then Ted sat there tail wagging while the other dog sniffed him over and i fed him treats Obviously we've got to work on the not sitting/lying down when he spots another dog but considering he was essentially corned with other dog looming over him i was pleased how calm he seemed

We are off to the caravan for a few days tomorrow so fingers crossed we can keep it up

Teg and Ted are on a roll.

So is Polo...

I can't fault his behaviour recently. I am not even posting about his achievements they are becoming so commonplace. Somebody must have swapped my dog without me noticing. He made some new friends again today. Took a few pics.

I think the lodger has moved past his Harmondsworth moor beat down last summer.

We got mugged there by a GSD on Monday - Just came bouncing over to say hello and he wasn't fussed, We passed a Ridgie there yesterday - not fussed. He's stopped looking alert/ tense around the lake AKA Scene of the crime. Plus we were followed by an over excited Rottie trying to strangle itself on the street a week ago. Not bothered again - though he was a bit knackered at the time.

He's just started looking more relaxed when out on the moor.
