Who/what are your fav musicians/bands ??

This afternoon after our beach trip I jumped in the car and drove to my fav Bookstore-Borders- got a mag and a musicDVD- live Steve Earl- 1980's from Austin City Limits Before I found Minnie- my whole life revolved around music- live gigs, cd's, then DVD's. I got to thinking who my fav muicians have been since I was at school up to the present-I made a list:
school days- the Animals,Johnny Winter- 1960's
college days- Carly Simon, Neil Young,Bonnie Raitt
- early 1970's
70's to 80's- blues stuff also disco- Edwin Starr, Funkadelic, Spandau Ballet, Patti Smith, Led Zeppelin
Since then and now- Steve Earl- early stuff;EmmyLou Harris,Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, Stevie Ray Vaughan,Maria Muldaur, Allmann Brothers,Jack Bruce. loads of blues- John Hammond,HoneyBoy Edwards,Smokey Babe
Current favs- Ani Di Franco, Skin/Skunk Anansie


Im very lucky to have seen nearly all of the above perform live even tho many have passed on.

Really varied taste here too as OH is a guitar teacher.
Lots of old rockers plus a lot of the newer bands...anything that brings guitars back into bands are a plus in our house. One of my current favs are Snow Patrol! Also love a lot of the new country bands, but that comes from my Canadian roots I suppose.
