I totally agree with you. My Red gives me kisses all the time. I've heard dogs mouths are cleaner than ours anyway no matter where their mouth has been previously.

I always suffered with cold sores, But since I got Red over a year ago (touch wood) I've never had one
I am convinced it's down to his kisses.

his a clean dog i never really see him lick anything apart from his food and drink! he never licks his bum...i do it for him his a lazy gentleman haha!

he also licks my hands legs feet!! arms...........hmm maybe i do encouraged him to much! :P

My eldest dog has never wanted to kiss anyone, but my youngest one would kiss me to death if I let her...I definitely don't let her kiss my mouth though....ugh!

my staff is the only face kisser out of my three but i discourage it - especially when he does it to the kids as well

Our foster staff is a menace with the face licking. We're getting her to stop it, but she sometimes manages to pin your arms down so she gets a good lick in before you can get her off. And she's slipped her tongue in my mouth a few times too Come to think of it, that's about the most action I get some days
