What happens when the clocks go forward?

I know we lose an hour - but if your'e dog generally wakes up at 5.30am like Tilly, do they then wake up at 6.30am......... or do they realise it's lighter earlier & still wake up at stupid o'clock?

I guess they wake up at silly o'clock as they listen to their body clock rather than your alarm clock....

Next weekend 29th March............ I love the lighter evenings! but not keen on being woken up at 5.30am! I know it's all in the mind but if the clock says 6.30am I will feel better.
I was naughty this morning & dragged it out until 6am (had a late night) she was whining at the gate....... but too late, she's weed on the kitchen floor & covered it up with the tea towel & oven gloves. I felt really mean then!

I am obviously extremely lucky as no body likes a lay in on a morning more than my three dogs. None of them do mornings! even if they do get up early (ish) its brief then straight back to bed. Its a dogs life.
We are looking forward to changing the clocks as we can get out for longer in the evenings.

Most dogs will reposnd to thier internal clock...which doesn't take into account daylight savings. Great when the clocks go forwards not so good when they go back.

Mine are a bit like yours VL....nice and lazy - I tend to have to get them up

I'm lucky that my dog gets up when I get up, whenever that may be.

mine dont wake up until i go downstairs. they wont go with anyone else. so when i go they go,this can be a bit annoying when you just want to get a glass of water though as they all chase each other downstairs and want to go in the garden.
but they are not affected by the clocks.
its funny, whatever time i go to bed they will go with me and not go downstirs until i do.
following the pack leader i suppose.
although when they were pups they would go to the toilet downstairs and then go back upstairs.funny dogs.

I`m already waking up an hour early. The dogs just go back to bed after their breakfast. I`ll be glad when the world catches up with me! I`m looking forward to the light evenings.
