Ooooh, congratulations

I can't reccommend strongly enough that you meet the dogs, spend some time with them and see how they operate in the home (you and your OH). If it's the right breed for you, this will cement your decision, but it will also help you understand some of the adjustments you'll have to make to your life

Also bear in mind that membership of a breed association does not prove a good breeder. Be prepared to look round different kennels, ask opinions of our NI-owning members here, and walk away if you're not 100% sure you like what you see.

How exciting - I can just echo what others have said about making sure you buy from a reputable breeder and find out as much as possible about the breed prior to getting your pup

Can't wait for piccies when he/she comes home

Congratulations You certainly won't be disappointed with the breed

Please do your homework on this breed They're not for the faint hearted. They're beautiful dogs, but they do have a 'character' all of thier own The don't particularly like being left alone either, so that you will have to consider.

Angelmist or Myschevious are probably two of the more knowlegable owners of this breed, and I'm sure they'll both give you very sound advice. I've only had Luca since she was 14 months old, so probably not as experienced as they are

Good luck, and I'm looking forward to the pics of your new addition
