Sad that this is the same day as Elmdon fun dog show in Solihull Birmingham which has been on here for about a month now. Pity when two local shows clash. There are a lot of other things going on at Elmdon as well as the dog show as it is part of a fun day being organised by the Friends Of Elmdon Park.

Actually I need to say that the whole dog show is in aid of Hounds for Heroes. I think this is a very worthy cause and I'm proud to be part of the fund raising effort!

A good cause. Hope you do well as I see there is a show in the area for Rough Luck rescue that day too.

Thanks Sue! Yes I hope you also do well with your show on the day.

As I said on the Fun Dog Show forum, the choice of date wasn't down to me - I'm not the organiser of this show, just the judge. I'm only trying to help out by publicising the show.

I think at this time of year, at the height of the fun/companion dog show season, there are bound to be clashes. But then again, lots more people and their dogs attend shows in the summer so hopefully all shows will get good attendances and lots of good causes will benefit.

I too saw the Hockley show advertised on the same day, no doubt there are others we don't even know about!

Sue

Just got back from this show, had a real fun day out. Thank you for organising such a nice day. You was a very nice judge, even though it was a long day in the blistering heat

Glad you enjoyed the show. This was my second outing as a judge and I enjoyed the day! Thank you for your nice comments - I wish I'd brought a hat as the sun was very strong as you say!

Sue xx
