Sorry Ian ..only just seen this post..

Yes of course it's worth it.. my Aunt the one with the riding stables eventually had to have both legs off (also a diabetic )..

You are still you Ian, leg or not, and you will still be able to do exactly as you do now. So come on cheer up and give Blackie an extra big hug..and don't forget whatever happens your DW friends are all here waiting for you !

Thank you every one for kind words, I am trying to keep positive, just after 19 months of this saga going on, it takes a strong person to cope with it. The trouble is that I feel as though I am in no-man's land - Can't go back, can't go forward and get on with life, it is just a case of hold the front page! If you know what I mean, as I haven't to do anything at all, even clean a cupboard out is too much.

Once i get the ok to start doing things I will defiantly cope with whatever way I have to, I can cope the way I am and know how to cope with an below knee amputation because my mum had one for 14 years so I know what's to come etc. It's just getting to the final herdle.

At times I wish I could get hold of both feet and throw them as far as I can.

Thanks again, I think we all have days when we feel like as though were on a rollercoaster, emtionally.

Ian

Update:

Went to podiatry again today, news gets worse, another patch of skin is starting to break down!

I feel that the strength to continue is starting to wane, Feel like giving up at times. Fed up!

Ian, I'm really sorry

It's really tough times but please keep fighting Ian - big hugs, you've got us to talk to always.

May Blackie give you loads of kisses and cuddles tonight. May strength and love be yours Ian.
