fingers crossed

please keep your fingers crossed for my son.
he is an army cadet and his colour sergent phoned us up on friday asking if he wants to do his silver duke of edinbrough.....hes already done his bronze.
part of the convo was they are considering louis for promotion to a lance jack.
basically he will hold a rank in cadets, he doesn't know anything about it but is there now.
she said he derseves it with the time and effort and the way he supports his detachment on events like cross country etc.
also the fact he always attends and commits to parades etc.
so i am hoping he comes home with a huge smile on his face and a stripe on his arm.
there is others to be considered and i don't know how many are going to get made up but i hope he gets 1 as he is learning so many new things, there is 1 cadet who thinks he can abuse his rank with louis so if he gets 1 then all that should stop.

will do he doesn't finish till 9 it might not be tonight.....
i did kinda ask him what he thinks if he gets made up but nothing twigged as we have spoke about it before.
his reply was i will tell the younger ones if i say some thing wrong then tell me, because he doesn't want others to think his rank has gone to his head like some.
i just told him it will only happen if you let it, i don't think it would to be honest he will still be the same as normal.
