Need your ideas please

We are looking at going away next year sometime with my parents and their dogs, so there will be 4 adults, 1 toddler, and 4 dogs (2 big, 2 little).

Does anyone have any good recommendations of places to stay?

With Jack being so young we'd like a chalet type instead of camping (plus my Dad refuses to camp the wuss). We'd preferably be relatively close to a beach, but also large areas for offlead running for the dogs.

So... Any ideas?

Thank you

I think finding an individual dwelling that will allow 4 dogs may be difficult, mos have restrictions of around 2,

i think the AA do a guide of dog friendly places to stay, so may be worth looking there.

Try holidaysfordogs.com its run by a lovely woman that I'm on another forum with. It's a cottage in Wales, and I know she doesn't mind people taking loads of dogs. She had two dobermanns

When we went to the lakes we found them to be very dog friendly, there are a couple of places in Ings village i would reccomend but they are B+B's not self catering.

If you want to go abroad I know some great places where we've been before with 6 dogs & 6 people

http://www.sea-n-dogs.net/welcome.htm
http://www.landal.com/ (they have different cottages spread around several countries - most of them allow dogs without limit, you do pay per dog)
http://levalyparadis.jimdo.com/ (use google translate to view - fantastic houses though, super friendly people)

Also, if you'd be going to France or the Netherlands, they're really dog friendly countries so most rental properties allow several dogs if you inform them in advance.

You should also definitely take a look at http://www.belvilla.co.uk
We have the same site in Belgium and usually you can contact the house owner for a fourth dog (you can already filter on 3 dogs allowed).

Hope that helps your search a little!

Tons of places in the North of Scotland have log cabins that allow dogs, Aviemore, Cairngorms, a lot of the Islands etc.....
