dogs preference of certain breeds for friends?

Fudge has definate breeds that get her excited and wants to play with. She loves any sort of spaniel. Does this have anything to do with spending time with my brother`s springer when she was tiny? they had several weekends together and this was her first real playmate.

She goes crazy when she sees one in the park.

I just wondered whether anyone has experience of this in their dogs.

Roxy prefers dogs that are not to big and not to small but slightly smaller than her is fine

She has her best mate at classes, a Northern Inuit, she used to play with a Dobie pup when she was small though

Blue loves anything and everything, but she loves other dally's, GSD, Great Danes and Rotties the most!!!! I made sure she played with big and small dogs when she was little so that she played nice all round hee hee!

Nia is a bit more hesitant, although I think thats the fact that she's a GSD, she likes Labs and obviously dallys the most!

Tara, hates all dogs! Must be her age!

Georgie loves all dogs except GSD and I have no idea why. He's not had a bad experience with one so maybe he's just chosen them as one's he's not keen on

My two play with any kind of dogs.. but Jake does particularly get excited when he sees Boxers. His very first ever friend at the beach was a Boxer.. so I guess thats the reason why

When Barney my Cavalier was around he loved other Cavaliers and would wag his tail and get very excited when one wqs coming towards us, but was not overly keen on other dogs.

Hi Rach

I'm sure dogs behave differently to other 'individual' dogs but different breeds?

Having said that, don't you remember how Beau used to be a bit rowdy with other Springers
