Agility in Bristol (UK)

Hi, I really want to start agility with Ella when I get her.
Does anyone know a good agility club in Bristol? I've seen a few online but if anyone has any recommendation..?

I do agility with my staffie he loves it unfortunately I don't live near Bristol so can't recommend any good clubs but just wanted to say its a great idea and good luck

Thanks! How is he doing? I bet he loves it. I used to compete with my two little parson crosses and there was a really tiny staffie who competed in small and she was so good.. I have high hopes for Ella

He does really well loves doing contacts we only do one to ones though as he can react to other dogs so no chance of competing. I use to run my American bull dog x as well till she developed leg issues. I also run a ladies Irish terrier x and me and the trainer have high hopes for her as she's doing well and still young enough to learn hope Ella enjoys it when you start taking her

Have you looked through the list on Agilitynet? I'm in Worcester so not near enough to give recommendations but I think it would be a case of going along and watching how they do things to start with.

I do agility I'm a member in too clubs in bristol both are good but ones a bit better than the other.

I go to agility4dogs and active dog services. Of you google them they will come up. Also worth looking on agilitynet.

I took my dog to agility, but only a couple of times simply because the tension and concentration in the arena simply over-stimulated him and he grunted and whined his way through each class and became very agitated when the other dogs came close to him. I hope you don't mind me suggesting you wait until she's fully settled in with you - but I'm sure you'll be able to judge.

May I suggest you check this out - it'll make you all the more determined to get Ella into a class eventually. Boom lives in the States and the pictures his owner post always bring a smile to my face.

Baxter: you're of course right. Sometimes I just get really enthusiastic about it because I remember how much I loved doing agility

I'll remember to take it slow with her though and will only start when I see she's ready for it. That said, I don't think it hurts going to watch what they do first and maybe bring Ella along for her to get used to situations with people and dogs around.

There's always one to ones more expensive but will see if you and Ella enjoy it before a class it works well for my boy
