Unknown dog

Being something of an anatomy geek, I have a bit of a thing for skulls... Well, recently I acquired a couple, including a dog. Judging from comparison pictures and teeth I think she (I'm not sure of the sex, but I don't want to say 'it') was a collie or collie cross, probably around 8-10 years old. Her skull had been found and picked up by the guy I bought her from, though I don't know when and where. On the right side of her face she had really terrible periodontal disease that ate away at the bone. I hate to think that she may have starved to death, or been someone's much loved and lost pet I knew what she looked like before I bought her, but having her here and holding her makes me so so sad for her... I've named her Sarah.

Run free girl (or boy), and if you're not waiting for somebody else to meet at the bridge, I will meet you there. In the mean time I'll keep your last remains safe xx
