Son with shingles

I am really fed up,all day having none nothing in the house,in and out like a yo yo,then at 11.45 this morning i get a call from the school nurse saying my son has developed a rash that she thinks is shingles

got in touch with the docs who said he could wait till tomorrow to be seen
to cut a long story short we had a few words and they managed to get him in at 4.10 this afternoon
The doctor took one look and said it was shingles and now i've got him at home for at least 2 weeks,as anybody who comes into contact with him can catch chicken pox.

We have all had chicken pox apart from my youngest, watch him get it before he goes on his school trip in november

Awwww, that is horrible for him and you! I do hope he gets better soon!
Dad had shingles last year and the only thing that help relive the annoyance from the rash was vinegar! He stank but was comfortable!

ooh Shingles i had that last year, very painful thing it be, also can leave some horrific marks if touched in the wrong manner, just make sure it doesnt cluster into bruising thats truly when the pain develops.
And yes the chicken pox part is true

I know how you feel Nissanmad, my youngest daughter had shingles when she was 9. She was chuffed to bits coz she didn't have to go to school for a couple of weeks (I didn't share her enthusiasm )

She was given Zovirax for the shingles. They were pretty painful, so putting the cream on wasn't a pleasant experience for her

Hope he gets better soon.
