Daisy, Labrador x, 10 months old

Daisy, Labrador x, 10 months old

Her Story: Daisy is a Labrador cross who was bred and ended up 'too old to sell' at 9 months. She is currently kennelled with her litter sister Polly who is yellow in colour.

Salient points: Daisy is a Labrador cross 10 month old pup. Nervous and needing a confident dog and family.

Advert: Daisy has just come to us and is finding kennel life a challenge. She is beautiful and mimics her Labrador genetics. She so needs a confident family who can accept her as she is currently and help her to gain her confidence. She hasn't been walked or mixed with dogs other than her original pack. She was living with children, but needs a quiet household without too many comings and goings so perhaps visiting children. Daisy is being walked with other dogs so she can learn from them and feed off their assurances. Newly spayed and gaining vac. status.

Daisy is kennelled with her litter sister at present which is some comfort to her, but she really needs a dog who can inspire her with confidence and enable her to venture into new zones and teach her new skills. Daisy is slightly more confident than her sister. Despite their fear, these 2 dogs have no aggressive tendencies in them at all. She will come through her delayed developmental milestones, but may have a residual nervousness which will lessen with time. So lovely, she will enthrall the Labrador owner ... and reward.

"Please note that this dog is currently in kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

One of our volunteer dog walkers took Daisy out today for a walk. She said that she is such a sweet girl and got really confident towards the end of the walk.

Heres are some photos

Daisy is in the car because Daisy is in care ... and belongs! Her new lab friend is Scooby her new partner. They are getting to know one another and just before the hatchback door was closed Daisy licked Scooby on the lips. Ever seen a Labrador blush ?!!

Daisy has now come back to kennels due to her needing work on housetraining. People need to remember that this dog has never known being a pet and needs to be trained as a young puppy would. This is a small hurdle to overcome and it is such a shame that she has been returned for such this reason.

However, she was happy to be back as was Cooper (another kennel dog) who insisted that she share his duvet that night!

Here are some more photos of Daisy from our volunteer walker taken yesterday ...

"She has got much more confident now ..."

Daisy is still looking for a foster home or forever home!

A few more photos of Daisy when I met her. She was so calm and loving. Could have easily run off with her! Apologies for the number, but it is so difficult for me to choose and she is very photogenic!

Out with a couple of our lovely volunteer kennel walkers ...
