Good evening all

SNOW oh dear

Lynn It can be totally heartbreaking in situations like you find yourself, you took on a dog to enhance and join your life not restrict it and make it harder than it should be. You both deserve to be happy as does Brewster and it seems like he is making himself anxious with this too; as you descrive it it is as if the focus of "release" is Gorden You have yourselves and the family to think about you are retired and deserve to enjoy it.

Thank you Kazz.

I have spoken to the breeder not long ago and her bitch Brewsters mum has come into season and we both agree that would not be a good situation to put Brewster in and make him more anxious or for his breeder to have to deal with.
She is getting in touch with one of the rescue coordinators to ask where to go from here as she cannot take him for at least 3 weeks and she will also see if she can rehome straight into a home from here.

We did say yesterday we want him to go to the right home so are prepared to wait if necessary even though it will make the giving up even harder for us especially me and most likely Brewster.
It might not take that long if there is someone ready and waiting.
I have stipulated he needs a firmer hand than we can give and obviously if not Bernese experience definitely large breed experience and understand Brewster is going to need a lot of direction.
Of course she knew all that.

She felt we have been together nearly 24/7 since all his issues and that hasn't helped and I did say I wonder if we have let things slip because his recovery was hard on him.

So the wheels are turning and I feel sick to my stomach. Especially when he looks at me.

Good evening all

Absolutely freezing this morning so we didn't stop to drink our coffee but brought it home with us to have where it's warm

Hospital appointment this afternoon because of problems with my right eye being so cloudy it's useless. The specialist is booking me in for laser treatment which should rectify it if all goes well

Lynn, I'm so sorry. I know what a problem little Ted has been at times and to have that with a much much bigger puppy is unimaginable. Hopefully, Brewster will find a loving new home quicky and you two will start to heal

Thank you Chris.
Don't blame you for taking the coffee home. I hope it isn't too serious with your eye.

Yes with a 50KG youngster already it is not easy when he gets above his station and doesn't listen especially when you are getting a lot older.

Posterior capsular opacification or secondary cataract.

Apparently they laser a slit in the membrane at the back of the lens to let light through which should rectify it. Hopefully all will go well and vision back to normal

About 6 weeks apparently. They are trying to work it around the injections.

Never have one problem, instead a whole host, but it keeps life interesting I suppose
