Quick Question - can someone help find...

The number of dogs registered on a yearly basis of each breed.

I found it a while back on the internet - it was a list of each dog breed and how many dogs were registered each year for the last few years with a rating next to it of 1-... in terms of popularity, but I have been trying and trying and just cant seem to find it again!

Thanks

Interesting to see there are almost over 3 times as many gundogs registered than any other breed group.

Only 29 buhunds bred last year too.

Oh my. 44,000 Labs. 23,000 cocker spaniels. That's madness...and they are the registered ones. There are so many labs in rescue

2,600 collies and about 8,000 staffis. I guess most of the ones bred in those breeds aren't registered then ...again look at the numbers in rescue

Exactly the point I try and make when there are calls for all people to not breed.

You mean no one should breed? Only people in certain breeds should breed? Not sure what you mean (been away a while and so I haven't seen you post that )

No I don't but it has been suggested that all Stafford breeders should stop for several years until the rescue situation has got better.
