ok update i spoke to soon he has just done two massive piles of sick which was his breakfast and the chew stick he had and then went in the garden and had the runs! is this normal? he kept down his scrambled egg and chicken last night. the only other time he was sick is when he ate that birthday cake he has quite a strong stomach so i wasnt expecting this??

Kate I would check with the vet , If you have only given him small amounts of food he should not really be sick..you have to be aware of dehydration after an op so I would ring the vet to be on the safe side AND DONT PANIC ((((hug))))

ok i have already rang the vet twice today so i think they may have blocked my number but i will ring them. he is asleep now. he has had plenty to drink but his diarrhea was very watery (sorry)

Katy don't EVER be afraid to ring the vet..Don't let Max eat or drink a lot in one go after an op..just little bits offen...it may be a reaction to the the anesthetic but I would ring the vet... he will have lost some blood in the op an have a bit of shock anyway so may need fluids..

EDITED TO SAY sorry posted at same time...ok Katy don't stress or you will upset Max, it will be ok...((((hug)))) I am at work today from 4 so can't check on you later...will catch you on Wed

As Mini says its probably just the anesthetic thats causing it. Good luck at the vet.

they told me to put him back on his normal diet today so that is what i did. he is just sleeping now. i am calm just stressed inside. god knows how i am going to life the heffalump in the car!
