Twice a day for us too, although he gets treats during the day, eg a pig's ear if I need to go shopping or an apple or training treats.

Twice a day for all mine. Being deep chested breeds I think its better not to overload their stomachs or digestion. The spaniel used to get colitis when he was younger, splitting his food seemed to solve the problem.
Also I think it must be nicer for them to have two meals a day to look forward to, I know i wouldn't be too chuffed if I was just fed once a day

Mine get fed 4 small meals a day at 3 hrs intervals. This is because of Cassie's EPI though as she must have small meals so Georgie just had to fit in with us, but he doesn't seem to mind at all! They don't have tit-bits then through the day only carrots, and a bonio or 2 in the evening. They never come near us when we're eating either and I think this is because they are fed so many meals too, and also because they play together a lot I don't have to worry about bloat with them having such small meals.

I also like to space out food rather than one big meal so Jake is fed twice morning and evening.

Just the once as she usually leaves it lying for ages. Now that I have changed her over to Burns I might rethink that as she is eating the whole bowl at one sitting.
