Dexter, Mastiff, DOB 2004 - Deal, Kent


Homing Requirements: Dexter needs a family who understand & whose heart is about taking on an older boy with a limp and a skin condition which we are at last getting under control. Dexter needs a companion home i.e. someone home a lot and at most part-time working. Dexter can manage a moderate exercise regime. Dexter would suit a first time dog owner. Dexter could live with other dog fluent dogs or be an only dog.

His Story: Dexter was found stray with chronic mange which had got the better of him and he was in such discomfort. We neutered and placed him on good quality food. We have tried various things but now have him on the right treatment to eradicate his skin irritation. Dexter is neutered, chipped and vax'd. Dexter is in a temporary foster home in Deal, Kent.

Advert: Dexter is a Teddy bear ....soppy, welcoming but with some spirit and liveliness. He is easy to manage around people and dogs, he is just looking for a peaceful life. He has an arthritic feature in his front right leg which he is on anti inflammatories for. He is housetrained and enjoys company and car travel. He is that lovely, lovely boy.

Dexter is a Mastiff x and weighs about 37 kilos. We need to watch his weight so weight gain doesn't adversely affect his joints. Yes he is an older boy...and a family with any heart would love him ever so dearly. Mr Favourite!
