If the vet says theres nothing broken and hes not in pain I would try jusy good food and gentle exercise before I tries anything else.I would try swimmimg and walking up and down gentle slopes to strengthen the joint
Poor baby!

Unfortunately, from our point of view, bull breeds are very stoical. Unless the injury is very serious they tend not to show the normal indicators of pain/discomfort. They do not yelp, cry, & they try their hardest not to limp no matter how badly they nay be hurting. Makes life difficult sometimes

Yep...I know .My vet dislocated my staffs knee cap while examining him for crutiate problems and the dog didn't bat an eyelid!
I still think that exercise and nutrition are the first step....maybe along with massage and pain killers to help with discomfort.

Massage, yes. He just lies there and lets you massage. He's a happy wee thing.

Sorry I don't have any good advice to offer, but I'm sure someone will come along soon to help out...

That's terrible how he was treated...He sounds very couragous for such a young dog and thank god he is now with you and having a good life...Good luck with him, I hope everything works out well with his leg. At least he can be happy now.
